| Operating on a shift basis including regular night and weekend working. Working within a small team reporting to the Section Engineer and Shift Team Leader. Responsible for monitoring and recording of excavation and lining works including early strength gain, profile control, environmental monitoring, quality records and ensuring compliance with method statements and health & safety regulations. Experience and qualifications A minimum of HNC/HND (or equivalent) in, civil engineering, mining, geotechnical engineering, mining surveying or a related subject. Holder of a relevant CSCS Card. Previous experience of managing small teams of engineers and of working underground in the civil engineering or mining industries is required. . Previous experience in tunnelling and wet sprayed concrete lining systems for tunnel construction will be looked upon favourably. The person; We are looking for someone who can work as part of a team. Be clear and concise in their communication with both management and site personnel. An understanding of technology and software will be of benefit. |
