| Freelance Section Engineer, Bedford. Competitive rates. This role is to start ASAP and could possibly be 6 months. We have a temporary worker vacancy for a good section engineer (approaching sub agent status) to work on 330m low level viaduct (as dwg C S 01 001 above), 2 no pedestrian underpasses (as typical dwg AIP 0001D ), 2 no culverts (as typical dwg AIP 03 0001 above) and various other minor structures ( farm accesses/ outlet structures etc). Immediate start, 6 months + if suitable, 50 hrs / week. General responsibilities of a section engineer. You will be required to have common sense, drive and enthusiasm even in the face of adversity, an ability to think ahead and learn quickly from mistakes. Would be involved in some basic planning, programming in order to keep work in front of structures direct labour, form work subcontractor, supervising the work with, via 2 engineers to ensure quality, safety, notifying client of works inc QA sign offs. |
