| Trainee Reprographic Operatives Required: for large reprographics department based at Abbey Wood, Filton. This role provides an excellent opportunity for candidates to embark on a brand new career with little or no previous experience or knowledge as full training is provided. Job Purpose: To Provide and maintain a timely Reprographics service with a flexible approach to your work with the willingness to learn and adapt to new skills. Job Description *Basic knowledge of Word Packages *A knowledge of reprographics, copying and finishing equipment *To work in a customer facing role *To gain experience in Desk top publishing *To deliver a reprographics service to agreed deadlines *To oversee and operate the latest Xerox equipment Responsibilities: *To work effectively and efficiently as part of the Reprographics team *To be able to prioritise work in order to meet required targets *Customer interfacing role dealing with job requests, problems and complaints *To be able to work both supervised and unsupervised. *The undertaking of training for all aspects of the reprographic functions. *Be willing to oversee and operate reprographic equipment, together with finishing equipment under the supervision of trained reprographics staff *To assist and use accounting packages, and willing to learn All I.T packages within the department *Advising of clients who require help with reprographic tasks and projects both Face to face and over the Telephone *To ensure all equipment is in a state of good working order and cleanliness *The operation of any equipment within the reprographic function during or after receiving appropriate training *Assist in stock control of paper and materials within office buildings *Provide a collating and binding service *Use networking copiers to process work *To support operation of electronic job booking service and provision of manual backup when required *Archive scanning using high volume scanners Training, qualifications and experience required: Training/ Key skills: *Ability to work within a team environment *Good written and communication skills *Good IT skills, willing to take on basic Administration tasks *Ability to plan, organise and prioritise All Reprographics work *Ability to make quick, effective decisions *Ability to meet deadlines and maintain a high standard of work *Attention to detail, conscientious *Must be Presentable, and willing to wear company clothing *Willing to undertake both internal and external training *Willing to undertake a formal qualification Qualifications and experience: *A good general education, both verbally and written *Good I.T skills *A general interest within reprographics *A willingness to learn new skills, and be able to adapt to change Special Considerations/ requirements: *MoD security clearance required to be passed *Trustworthy with confidential information, is able to deal with confidential information in an appropriate and sensitive way. Does not divulge information out of the department *Willing to work a shift pattern in order to cover production needs *To attend identified training courses when required *To undertake key tasks as agreed with Reprographics Supervisor/ Manager |
