| Construction Project Director Cardiff £55,000-£62,000 & £7500 Car Allowance & Bonus, Pension & Competitive Package Our Client is an award winning £50M turnover company specialising in retirement homes throughout England and Wales. With high levels of customer demand, a pipeline of £250m+ and a firm financial foundation, they are planning a period of continued balanced growth. Due to this planned expansion they are looking to recruit a project leader from a surveying background, with excellent customer facing skills, a proven track record of successful project delivery, and someone who shares their commitment to excellence. You will be responsible for a project team that will run up to three major construction projects on site at any one time. The projects will typically represent £20 million turnover per annum, and have complex services and specialist services installations, with a high degree of statutory regulation. You will head a project team which typically consists of Projects Director, Project Surveyor and Design Manager. The Construction Manager also forms part of the team and is responsible for a Finishing/General Foreman and some directly employed labour operatives. On larger projects the site teams are scaled up to reflect the size and complexity of each project. Responsibilities Client Liaison Reporting and accountability to the Board Management of the internal and external design and build project team, ensuring positive team work, including: Programming, phasing and planning of resources, including preparation of critical path project programmes Cost management of the project with the project surveyor. Management, cost and specification compliance of the design with the design manager. Construction management of the project with the site management team You will be working from Cardiff but will regular travel to sites based in the South will be expected.
